Hey, I’m Don Thomson — founder of Fitness Through Motion. I’m a competitive sprint kayaker, certified ASCA Strength & Conditioning Coach, and movement specialist from Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.

I built Fitness Through Motion with one clear goal — to change the way athletes and everyday people think about training.

Because here’s the truth: performance isn’t just about brute strength or endless effort. It’s about understanding how the body adapts — how it moves, recovers, and performs under pressure.

From my years as an athlete training under world-class coaches and former world champions, I’ve learned that small details make the biggest difference — the way you move, how you structure your sessions, the balance between intensity and recovery. Those details are the difference between staying average and reaching elite.

At Fitness Through Motion, every session, every program, every piece of advice comes from that principle. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter workouts or guesswork — everything we do is based on biomechanics, physiology, and smart progression.
